EBOLA IS..
Ebola Virus is the cause of the infectious and deadly disease of people and animals like gorilla: Ebola Virus Disease or Ebola Hemorrhagic Fever. In the present, the affected countries are in West Africa like Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone.


According to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention: 
Total Cases
Updated: August 6, 2014
Suspected and Confirmed Case Count: 1711
Suspected Case Deaths: 932
Laboratory Confirmed Cases: 1070

A person who came from Africa, arrived in Saudi to work, not knowing that he was infected, eventually dies.


HOW CAN SOMEONE GET IT?
- Touching a person who is positive of Ebola
- Blood or any "body fluids" from the person who is infected, like: vomiting, saliva, feces etc.
- Contaminated things from the person who is infected like: needle, blanket and bed cover
- Corpse of the person who died because of Ebola
People can't get Ebola in the air,  in coughing, or in sneezing


INCUBATION PERIOD:
Anyone who is infected can have the symptoms after 2-21 days. Person who have symptoms are the only one who can infect other people.


SIGNS & SYMPTOMS:
Fever || Headache || Joint and muscle aches || Weakness  || Diarrhea || Vomiting || Stomach pain || Lack of appetite || Damage of liver and lungs

Some patients may experience:

A Rash || Red Eyes || Hiccups || Cough || Sore throat || Chest pain || Difficulty breathing and Difficulty swallowing || Bleeding inside and outside of the body


PLANS OF DOH TO PREVENT EBOLA:
- Strictly observing passengers arriving in the airports and shipyards
- Making sure that all passengers from different countries would give health information checklist
- Strong coordination with different departments in order to avoid Ebola
- Training healthworkers on how to take care of the patient and their own against the disease


GREATLY AFFECTED:
- Those who are living or went in the affected country
- The family or neighbor of the person infected
- The person who's taking care of the patient in the house or in the hospital with a doctor, nurse, lab workers, etc.

  REMINDER: Using health check list, you need to tell airport quarantine officers if you came from the infected country even more if you have fever or any smptoms.


EBOLA TREATMENT:
- It's better to bring the person to the hospital immediately if s/he assumes that s/he have it
- Oral and intravenous fluids are a huge help even the blood letting


TO AVOID EBOLA:
- Avoid contact with the blood or secretions of an infected patient
- Don't touch patients if you do not use gloves and any recommended materials against Ebola
- Wash hands thoroughly  using clean water and soap
- Avoid touching any part of the face using dirty or unwashed hands and fingers
